Cable is out here, thankfully I have different DSL service. According to my 13 yr old you would think that the world has ended.... and yes at 1 am, she should be in bed... but so darn stubborn...yep like mom... lol after 45 minutes, think I'm still 16th in que.... Grrrrr Had a good evening, met up with some peeps here in McKinney this evening, had a great visit. Would have liked to have stayed longer but left DD at home, and sprinklers going on my crunchy lawn..... and trying to ask her to move them would have been more frustration than banging my head against a brick wall.... I swear, she has lost all comprehension of the spoken word... and she turned 13, 9 days ago.... I know, welcome to the teen years..... Is there enough Calgon to take me away????
Prayers tonight for all of the spoken and unspoken requests. Special prayers of healing for Elizabeth Grace, and comforting prayers for her family. May God comfort all who are hurting tonight, for what ever reason. May God lead you where you need to be, in whatever decision that you need to make. May His peace and comfort surround you all.

Today was a pretty good day. You know, with WLS, no matter how far out a person is (and I'll be five years post-op in September), there are still some of those "WOW" moments. When I was nearly 300 pounds, I couldn't wear my original wedding ring nor my engagement ring. I had to buy a "fake" ring because I didn't want to not have a ring on, so had to get a size 10 gold band. After I started losing, I just said forget it and took the darn thing off. I got to the point where I could put my rings back on but then I had the opposite problem...they fell off! I never wanted to get them resized because I really didn't want my rings cut, so they just sat in the box in my room. Before I came up here to mom and dad's, my mom had called one of the local jewelry stores to ask them about it and they said they could size it down without having to cut it so I brought them up with me to see if they could work with it. Well, I'm happy to say that this afternoon I picked them up and both rings were resized down to a 6 1/2!!! WOW!!! I was so excited to have them back on my finger, not to mention they are now literally 3 1/2 sizes smaller! If worked correctly on a consistent basis, the surgery DOES and WILL work, no matter how far out a person is from their original surgery date!
It's a slow day today - no tennis for the girls on Thursdays. Temps are supposed to drop again here. The weather here is soooo wierd! I know I won't get to stay in this lovely stuff, but it sure has made the summer very enjoyable, even if it is for just a month or so!
